Dentures
Dentures can be used to replace multiple missing teeth.
Full Dentures - Are used to replace teeth when you are missing
all the teeth in either one or both jaws. Dentures are processed
onto bum colored acrylic that are fit to the shape of your mouth.
Partial Dentures - Sometimes you may be multiple teeth missing
that cannot be replaced using bridges or implants, and full dentures
are not necessary. Partials can be fitted to your needs containing
from one to twelve teeth.
Dentures Over Implants
When all of your teeth are missing in either the upper or lower
jaw, the most common treatment has been for the patient to wear
dentures. There are several adjustments the patient makes while
wearing dentures. Dentures are rarely comparable to natural teeth.
However, a denture can be secured in the mouth by attaching it
to multiple dental implants. This makes them more secure and more
like natural teeth. There are two types: one that is removable
denture held in place by attachments inside the denture and the
other is a denture that is not routinely removed.
